I mainly started homesprout for myself. Sometimes in life, I find that I'm losing time to the mundane, and I feel a bit overwhelmed about all that I want to accomplish and experience. Through the process of documenting my life on the web, I find that I hold myself more accountable. Further, the idea of a shared experience is a powerful one for me. I love reading blogs and sharing in other people's worlds, and I love when they take time out of their day to show an interest in mine. If you've happened upon my page, please take a moment to say hello.
With homesprout, I'll be documenting our perseverance towards a "homemade" life on our little homestead. We make as much of our food ourselves as possible. I have also ventured into knitting and sewing, and my husband "D.I.Y."s many of the objects found in our home.
In the real world, I'm a Social Studies teacher at a small rural school. I was married in June, 2010 to my wonderful husband, Tim. He's a professional photographer, and have a studio next to our house for our business. If you'd like to visit that aspect of your lives a bit more, visit camerafamosa.com. You can also read about our honeymoon in Ireland here. In our fleeting moments of spare time, we love cooking creative dinners, taking hikes, wandering the world, laughing over random silliness, and making fun of our cats.
